The same location as last year has been secured. This beautiful and large facility on the Fox River is kept very clean, has modern indoor restroom facilities, many electrical outlets, BBQ grills and a fireplace.
Picnic tables and benches are provided at the grove…however, you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets (and a pop-up canopy if you wish).
There will be NO FEE to anyone for the picnic. However, there will be a monetary raffle, since expenses are incurred in acquiring the pavilion, etc. Your participation will be appreciated by the organizing team!
Bring your own food and drinks (liquor IS allowed on the premises). All liquids must be in plastic or aluminum containers…no glass please...if we want to continue having the picnics in this beautiful grove, we need to follow their rules)! If you would like to barbecue, a grill is provided at the pavilion, but you will need to bring your own charcoal.
We are anxious to find entertainment for this year’s picnic. There is more than enough time to form an ensemble, duet, etc. for entertainment. Please let me know if you would like to perform.
Please contact Adrianne at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning to perform at the picnic, so that we can fit you in the schedule.
Looking forward to another good turnout. This event has drawn interest from our East and West Coast drum corps friends who have been following our Facebook posts. I now have representatives who will be distributing flyers to their corps.
Drum corpsally yours,
Adrianne (Adi) Kaplan
